Obituary for William "Bill" Meyer

William "Bill"  Meyer
William "Bill" Meyer, age 89, USMC Korean War Veteran, of Palos Heights, IL. Husband of Zelma, nee Drain, and the late Marion, nee Van Byssum. Loving father of Sandra (late Rev. Archie) Vander Hart, Scott, Bruce (Esther), Brian (Eva) and the late William G. Cherished grandfather of ten. Dearest great-grandfather of ten. Fond brother of Ed, Joan Klein and the late Annie, Nellie VanDyke, John, Albert, Grace Sellers, Jacob, Annette Auwema, Angeline and Clara Pomella.

Bill was a partner and owner of Meyer Brothers Scavenger Service. He was also the former President of Meyer Steel Drum. Bill was an opera singer and performed at the Metropolitan Opera. His greatest passion in life, however, was flying his private airplanes.
